My musical journey began when I was 10 years old. My father gifted me a Casio keyboard on my birthday and from then I used to always try playing out tunes. I have mentioned in my bio that I was a very reserved person, so I didn't have many friends to go out or hang around with. The keyboard became a close friend and as time went by I learnt the differences between the notes (keys). The first ever tune that I played was an old Hindi song.

Day by day the list of songs I played increased and in 7th and 8th grade, I played for events in school and small family gatherings. I got encouraged by the response of the people and eventually decided to learn music; infact I had already dreamt of becoming a 'popular' music composer by then. I went to a music school in our town, they said there's no course for a keyboard but they can teach Carnatic music on the harmonium, i thought music is music afteral, hence I joined.

After a month, someone brought a big synthesizer to the music institute. When my master saw me playing some songs on it, he recommended me to join a better institute where I could learn playing the piano.P.s. On the harmonium we don't use left hand on the keys. But then my 10th grade exams were going on and I didn't get a permission from home to go to a city 50 km away just to learn music. I got stuck with the same institute and learnt the basic concepts of music and songs, ragaas there and even played in stage for some programmes on behalf of the institue.

The first song I composed was a prayer song of Vidyathiraja Vidya Vilas English School, Annur, which was where I did my 9th and 10th grade studies. One day I took out a hindi song, wrote down the lyrics and composed it in my own way and that was the turning point. My school friends helped me with the lyrics in Hindi and Malayalam. 8 songs were made and I compiled them into an album titled 'Dil Hai Deewana'. Two other friends joined me and funded as well while the friends in the music institute sang for it and my first album was born, and a kick start for my dream, the first step of my journey towards success.
